Our Pawsitive Life Coaches Kiki and Lisa
We are delighted to introduce you to the two dog psychologists and coaches Kiki and Lisa: The two Pawsitive Life Coaches will now be giving you practical tips and tricks on dog training and improving the relationship between you and your dog on our Liebesgut blog.
In their weekly podcast , the two Pawsitive Life Coaches will reveal how you can strengthen the bond with your dog and rely more on your gut feeling when dealing with your dog. As the relationship between humans and animals is particularly important to us at Liebesgut Tiernahrung and we are also big podcast fans (for anyone who is not yet familiar with podcasts: A podcast is an audio file that you can access via your smartphone or computer and listen to at any time), we are now presenting two podcast episodes by Kiki and Lisa per month on the Liebesgut blog. In addition, the two coaches will each give you an exclusive extra tip on the topics of dog education, dog training and bonding, which you can read here on the Liebesgut blog shortly after the corresponding podcast episode is published.
We are delighted to be working with the Pawsitive Life Coaches and asked the two dog trainers a few questions to get to know each other
1. what is behind Pawsitive Life Coaching? What makes your approach special?
We realised our vision of our own online dog school "Pawsitive Life Coaching" in 2017. As qualified dog trainers and dog psychologists, we have made it our mission to professionally support human-dog teams in building a healthy and harmonious bond with each other and enjoying life with dogs - far away from all social constraints. It is particularly important to us to work holistically and to support both dog and human in different areas of life and to coach the owner to develop a deeper understanding of the dog and thus become a solution finder themselves.under the name "Pawsitive Life" we host a podcast that deals with various topics from the areas of everyday dog life, training and mindfulness. Our name is made up of the English word "paw" and the word "positive" and represents the positive coexistence - "life" - with dogs, which is not only used in everyday life, but also corresponds to our training philosophy.
2) You are qualified dog trainers and dog psychologists. How did you get there? Was that always your dream?
Kiki: I completed my training as an animal psychologist specialising in dogs at ATN AG and then continued my training through various internships and seminars. Last but not least, working together with Lisa has been incredibly informative and instructive for both of us! The decisive factor for me at the time was to familiarise myself with the subject of dogs in a scientifically sound way and to acquire a basis of knowledge that I could build on later. At that time, I was still purely interested and had no intention of working with people and dogs. So training human-dog teams was not always my dream. But a passion for dogs was. Through Lisa, I found my way and my very personal way of working with dogs and I am now very happy and grateful to have found our way of working and to be able to spread our vision of leading a pawsitive life with dogs around the world.
Lisa: The dream of working with people and animals was already clear very early on. I have always communicated with my dogs in a way that was not easy to put into words. I understood their language and they understood mine. This also led me to do my dog trainer training. I wanted to learn more about dogs and help people who are at a loss with their dog and desperate to find a solution together that is not only perfect for the owner, but also for the dog. We at Pawsitive Life see it as our task to show owners that it is possible to become a hero for their dog and to explain training to them on a relationship level. A good bond is the cornerstone of any dog training programme. We also want both sides to form a community again, a team, and pick up the team exactly at the point where they simply don't know what to do! This is exactly what makes working with Kiki and with Pawsitive Life in general so unique and valuable. Not only for the human-dog team, but also for myself, as we inspire each other every day and find new solutions for our clients together.
3. what fascinates you most about working with dogs?
The most impressive thing is actually the changes that the owners go through so that the dog can change at all. Often, even small changes in everyday life or short training sequences of a few minutes are crucial for something to happen in the human-dog team. The owner's mood also makes a huge contribution, as dogs react a lot to mood. It is a very special moment for us when we coach a human-dog team with our support so that the owner "clicks", the tension is released and suddenly everything becomes clear and the dog also realises success. We always work holistically, which means that the dog owner must also be involved in every case. The extent to which dogs react to even these small changes in the owner is simply incredible and also shows how useful it is to work on yourself and actively practise mindfulness and gratitude, for example.
4) You have dogs yourselves, of course. What do you enjoy most about life with a dog?
Dogs live in the here and now and can't consciously think about the past or worry about what might happen in the future. Dogs therefore live in the moment and can enjoy the moment much more easily and intensely than we humans can. Through joint human-dog meditations, we connect with our dogs and can immerse ourselves in this moment for a while and let ourselves be guided by the energy of our dogs. Feeling this peace and harmony regularly picks us up in everyday life. Feeling this intimate connection with a living being is one of the most wonderful things you can experience in life and is incredibly valuable for creating a balance in your human-dog team. Dogs simply radiate a special lightness that inspires us day after day.
5. what do you personally look for when choosing dog food?
Choosing the right food is very important to us. That's why we attach great importance to the quality of the meat from species-appropriate livestock farming. We want to distance ourselves from meat from factory farming. The origin of the fruit and vegetables is also important to us and should, if possible, come from regional organic farms. We have been looking for a food that contains all of these aspects for a long time and are therefore very happy and satisfied to now find them combined in Liebesgut's products. We also frequently recommend the food to our customers, who are also very impressed and report that it is well tolerated.
The two are of course also active on social media. Click here for their Facebook and Instagram profile.
We look forward to working with them!
