Why is dog food with monoprotein chicken useful?
Dog food with chicken monoprotein can be particularly useful if your dog has a sensitive digestive system and needs a light diet. Overall, monoprotein chicken has these advantages:
-
Chicken has a good amino acid profile, which means that chicken provides all the protein your dog needs to build muscle and tissue.
-
At the same time, chicken contains less fat than other typical protein sources in dog food, such as beef, which is an advantage for certain diets.
-
The lower fat content makes chicken meat much easier to digest than other types of meat. So if your dog has digestive problems or you have to feed a light diet, monoprotein dog is a good choice.
Dog food with monoproteins is important as part of an elimination diet, as it allows you to test which protein your dog is allergic to. Monoprotein chicken suits most dogs and is therefore a good basis for exclusion diets.
by the way: If you realise that your dog doesn't like or tolerate chicken, you can return all unopened products (except BARF menus) to us and get your money back, no questions asked.

Frequently asked questions about dog food with monoprotein chicken
What exactly does dog food with monoprotein chicken contain?
Depending on the product, different ingredients are included, the exact list can be found in the respective product description and on the products themselves. However, only products whose main source of protein is chicken are shown in this category. All animal substances are from chicken: depending on the product, this means muscle meat or chicken offal. Our dog foods with monoprotein chicken are formulated in such a way that no other protein sources are included. However, a small amount of protein can be added due to the presence of plant-based ingredients. For example, we use rice and oats in our dry food, both of which contain some protein.
Can I also give the dog food with monoprotein chicken as a complete food?
Yes, our dog foods are formulated in such a way that you can cover your four-legged friend's entire diet. However, please note that any special requirements for your dog may need to be covered separately.
How do I store the dog food with monoprotein chicken?
Store unopened dog food in a cool (not too cold!) and light-protected place. Opened cans and packages of dog food can be stored in the packaging with a cover in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. However, let the food come to room temperature before you feed it so that it can develop its full flavour and is easily digestible.
