The BARF menus for dogs from Liebesgut Tiernahrung are delivered frozen directly to your home and are perfect for people who have no experience with BARF nutrition. You simply defrost the individual portions gently. To do this, open the pack and place it in the fridge for 12-16 hours. Then pour the ready-to-eat BARF into the food bowl and allow it to come to room temperature so that your four-legged friend can enjoy the full flavour. That's all you need to do! Please note that the meat is raw and you should take appropriate hygiene precautions. The ready-to-eat BARF menus are designed so that you don't have to give your dog any additional food or nutritional supplements. Why are not all ingredients certified organic?
Liebesgut Tiernahrung's entire range is geared towards sustainability and animal welfare. The "organic" label may only be applied to products that come from either organic farming or organic husbandry. For example, the fish from the fish menu comes from sustainable fishing, but the feed of the wild-caught fish cannot be controlled. Therefore, the fish cannot be labelled "organic". Nevertheless, you can be sure that all the ingredients in our ready-to-eat BARF menus come from sustainable sources and that your dog's well-being comes first.
What is the shelf life of the ready-to-eat BARF after defrosting?
As soon as the ready-to-eat BARF has defrosted, it should be consumed within 24 hours. Raw meat cannot be kept for longer than this.
Can I combine the ready-to-eat BARF with dry food or wet food?
Yes, you can feed your dog dry food in the morning and a portion of ready-to-eat BARF in the evening, for example. It's best to see how your dog reacts to this. If you are unsure, you are welcome to come back to us or ask your vet.
