The cat food Sample Packs contain a set of different samples that are enough for at least one whole meal. Each set offers you a selection of different proteins and ingredients so that you can easily taste your way through the Liebesgut range. Of course, only the best premium-quality ingredients go into our Sample Packs: the meat comes from regional organic farms that - just like us - pay attention to animal welfare.
The particularly high meat content is made up of muscle meat and nutritious offal such as heart, lungs and liver. Selected organic vegetables and fruit complement the high meat content and provide your cat with an important supply of nutrients. The entire Liebesgut pet food range containsno unnecessary additives such as preservatives, flavour enhancers or attractants to keep your velvet paw healthy and lively. Of course, the cat food is also free from added sugar, gluten and lactose to do justice to your cat's natural diet. Very important: Our cat food contains the amino acid taurine, which cats cannot produce themselves and is important for general health.

These Sample Packs can be recognised by the "Sensitive" label and contain high-quality organic cat food samples as well as our premium samples. The composition of these Sample Packs is tailored to the needs of sensitive cat stomachs and contains suitable proteins and easily digestible ingredients. We guarantee that the Sensitive products only contain single proteins from one meat source in order to minimise allergic reactions in your cat.
As with the other cat food Sample Packs and the rest of the Liebesgut range, the Sensitive samples do not contain gluten or lactose. The ingredients in addition to the meat have been selected so that they are particularly easy for cats to digest.
Of course, we also have suitable Sample Packs under the "Junior" label for the little fur noses. These Sample Packs contain varieties that are specially adapted to growing cats and offer the extra nutrients that little ones need to grow. How do I find the right cat food Sample Pack?
Many cat owners know the problem: sometimes the little gourmet is picky. Some manufacturers therefore use attractants and added sugar, which leads to a strong habituation effect and other foods no longer seem tasty to the cat. Some of these attractants lead to digestive problems or allergic reactions and change your cat's natural eating behaviour. As with humans, sugar can lead to diabetes and obesity. Liebesgut does not use any attractants or added sugar in its cat food - but this can mean that unfamiliar food in particular is often ignored.
Our cat food Sample Packs counteract this in two ways: Firstly, the portions are selected so that you can add smaller amounts of the samples to your cat's usual food over a few days. Of course, you know your cat best - perhaps you can replace an entire meal directly! Secondly, the Sample Packs are put together in such a way that you always get a wide range and can try out different varieties.

Why do the Sample Packs contain vegetables, fruit or rice?
Cats are obligate carnivores, which means they are dependent on a particularly meaty diet and eat virtually no plant-based food. But: In the wild, cats often eat their prey whole or tear out large pieces, which means they also eat their prey's food. Liebesgut cat food is formulated accordingly. The plant-based ingredients are present in small quantities, which not only provide the necessary carbohydrates for a quick supply of energy, but also aid digestion. For example, rice is an easily digestible source of energy for sensitive cats with stomach problems and can help with diarrhoea. As with the natural diet, however, these ingredients are only present in very small quantities so that the digestive system, which is focussed on meat, is not put under undue strain. incidentally, taurine is also included because cats have to absorb it from meat and cannot produce it themselves like other mammals.
What is the difference between the organic cat food Sample Packs and the Premium Packs?
All Liebesgut pet food products come from sustainable and environmentally friendly sources. The organic cat food Sample Packs consist only of varieties with certified organic ingredients. However, some Sample Packs contain ingredients that are not certified organic. This mainly applies to the meat in our premium varieties. This does not mean that the meat is less sustainable, but rather that it cannot be classically certified organic. For example, the rabbit in the "Rabbit with chard and rice flakes" variety comes from game hunting. As it is not possible to control what the rabbits eat, organic certification is not possible. Nevertheless, the meat is sustainable and strictly controlled so that you can feed it with a clear conscience.
Are the cat food Sample Packs also suitable for older cats?
Yes, it is best to orientate yourself on the Sensitive line. These varieties are designed so that even older cats can easily digest the food.
